If you’ve yet to hear Gang of Four, then what are you waiting for? They’re not just a Yorkshire classic, they’re a band that made a worldwide impact. Starting in the late ’70s, they released two albums of stripped down punk mixed with dub and reggae before venturing into dance-punk and disco, which would eventually spawn Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, and tonnes more. Whilst they called it quits in 1983, there was a brief reformation in the ’90s before the original unit finally got back together in 2004.
