DOWNLOAD: “Full Moon Reggae Party”
Bit of a late post this one, but if you’re around the capital tonight at Power Lunches, you may want to have a look-see on this one. London-based band Tigercats are scheduled to launch their album Isle of Dogs, which is out on 9 April. Whilst tickets for tonight have sold out, there will be 20 available on the door from 8pm.
Others on the bill include Omi Palone, Fever Dream, and a DJ set from All Darlin’. Full gig details can be found here.
The indiepop band, who remind me of both the Kabeedies and Los Campesinos, have played with the likes of Allo Darlin, the Wave Pictures, Dum Dum Girls, and the Pains of Being Pure at Heart. And not one to rely on quotes from great musicians, but the great Darren Hayman once said about them, “Incidentally, Tigercats are really good. Not [just] in that way that most people say bands are good, but good in a way that means something..”
So yeah, there’s not much to sort out here. Your Friday night now has a definitive plan.
