DOWNLOAD: “When I Wake Up”

Listening to Mi Mye, the vehicle for Jamie Lockhart’s Americana-laced tunes, it’s rather easy to chalk them up as dour and melancholy, but that wouldn’t be fair to the music or Mr. Lockhart. Whilst his latest album, The Time and the Lonleyness, centres around the divorce from his wife, it’s less whinging about loss and much more seeing the forest for the trees.

Like many breakups albums in the past, it can be a tough listen at first, but with time you’ll undoubtedly reap the rewards of this brilliant album. It’s not the sort of album one would pop on to do anything but relax. If you’d like to give it a try, it’s available to download as a “pay what you’d like” at Bandcamp.
