The fun of listening to a new album quickly fades away when you find out the music is coming to you via a secure download link and listening to said music in your car or on public transport is not a feasible option.

Metronomy’s latest The English Riveria (out tomorrow) was enjoyable on first listen, but the jury (ie- my ears and myself) are out on where this record stacks up amongst the others. A few spins on the old iPod should rectify that.

To celebrate all of this, the band kicks off a two part tour on Thursday in Nottingam. The first half ends on the 27th in York, but things pick back up in September. Ghostpoet is main support, but you may want to avoid the gig on Saturday in London where the atrocious Summer Camp are playing.
