Perhaps you remember Bolt Action Five, perhaps you don’t. London-based Danimal Kingdom is the solo project of Daniel Murtha, who fronted the aforementioned group. You may also remember his vocals from Kissy Sellout’s Youth long-player.

Having already done remixes for the likes of Egyptian Hip Hop, Primary 1, and Q-Tip, Murtha has also worked his magic on tunes of his own, like shared track “Amputee Spirit.” It’s a song that carefully dips its hands into ’80s new wave so as to not be to familiar on the ears. A debut single “Vinyl Skipping Ever Backward” / “Through The Ice” (white vinyl) is out now on Hot Pockets.
